The King Hussein Foundation (KHF)
The King Hussein Foundation (KHF) was established in 1999 to build upon King Hussein's lifelong dedication to human security, social equity and peace. Its programs promote education and leadership, sustainable socio-economic development, participatory decision making and cross-cultural understanding.
KHF institutions aim to empower individuals by promoting self-reliance through access to work opportunities, loans, investments and enterprise development. KHF programs help facilitate access to innovative education and leadership training to enable individuals to excel and contribute to national, regional and international development. KHF serves as a catalyst for socioeconomic transformation by providing research to policy makers and development advocates. KHF shares three decades of its best practice models in development, capacity building and cross cultural exchange with countries throughout the broader Arab region and Asia.
KHF encompasses the Jubilee Educational Institute (the Jubilee School and theJubilee Center for Excellence in Education), the Information and Research Center, the National Center for Culture and Arts, and the National Music Conservatory and the Noor Al Hussein Foundation (NHF). Today NHF is comprised of Tamweelcom, the Community Development Program and the Institute for Family Health, socioeconomic programs initiated by NHF since 1985.
