The Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy is committed to improving the quality of life for all people in the UAE. The Foundation fosters sustainable public-private partnerships to achieve increased social corporate responsibility of vital community-related issues.

Through a variety of projects that stimulate intellectual and social growth, the Foundation works particularly in the areas of youth development, knowledge creation and national society and culture.

More than 450 grants have been awarded since 2008 to Emirati organizations and individuals in the areas of Education, Social Development, Arts and Culture, Science and Technology, Environment and Public Awareness.

In addition The Foundation manages two operating initiatives: Takatof for youth volunteering with over 10,000 volunteers and Tawteen for Emiratization with over 42,000 training hours to Emiratis. Funding comes from annual donations and an endowment fund supported by private companies and the Abu Dhabi government.

Established on May 31, 2005, the Foundation is chaired by HH Sheikh ِAbdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
