AFF Signing Memorandums of Understanding

The last few months were highlighted by the Arab Foundations Forum's (AFF) signature of the following Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs); firstly with the World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists (WCMP) in May, in Dubai, the purpose of which was to express AFF's and WCMP's aspirations to engage in collaborative efforts that advance the mission and programmatic objectives of each organization in a mutual beneficial manner consistent with Islamic traditions. The spirit of this MOU is to combine forces and not divide resources; being a complementary rather than a competitive effort.

Secondly, with the European Foundation Centre (EFC) whereby both parties committed to closer partnership and cooperation, endeavouring to collaborate on mutually beneficial activities, promoting their common interests, dedicated to supporting and strengthening the ability of their respective members to effectively employ their resources both on an individual and conjunctive basis; promoting information sharing and knowledge building; and to advancing a dialogue and cooperation in areas of common interest.

The third MOU was signed with the United Nations Office for Partnerships (UNOPS) where both parties committed to supporting the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) with a focus on supporting peace and development and partnership building.
